Alan's Shoes is one of the few true sit-and-fit shoe stores left in Tucson, and the Oracle Road location leads that tradition on the city's northwest side. The story runs deep: backed by a family heritage eight generations old in the shoe trade, Alan and Annette Miklofsky purchased Annette's father's store in 1982 and renamed it Alan's Shoes, going on to operate Tucson fitting institutions for decades. That service culture has earned the stores the national Footwear Insight Gold Medal Service Award eight consecutive years.
